Effective immediately, students may now register in one or more of BHI’s specialized hockey courses without committing to completion of the Certified Hockey Professional (CHP) designation. This change is targeted at those with specific interests as well as those whose current circumstances preclude them from pursuing the CHP designation at this time. There are a limited number of openings for visiting students and those interested will be prioritized according to the entrance criteria for the full CHP program.

“The CHP is a multi-faceted program that touches on a range of subjects within the hockey business,” explains Michael Mauws, Executive Director of BHI. “Potential students may want to learn about one or two subjects, rather than taking the entire CHP. Ticket sales employees, for example, may have particular interest in our Game Day Management & Marketing Course. And aspiring GMs may want to take only our Hockey Operations courses.”

Students registering in single courses will be considered “visiting students”. Should students wish to later enroll in the CHP program after completing a single course(s), they may be eligible provided they meet all entry criteria.

Anyone interested in registering as a visiting student may express their interest by emailing info@businessofhockeyinstitute.com.
